Headache painSome studies suggest at this moment, 25% of the population has a headache! Headaches affect everyone in Atlanta, but when your headache or migraine is chronic and continues for months, it’s time to visit Atlanta chiropractic doctor Timothy Dembowski to seek headache relief. Taking medications may temporarily mask the symptoms and provide relief, but if your headache is being caused by a problem with your spine, a chiropractor can provide longer lasting relief without the need for drugs.

How CanĀ A Chiropractor Treat Headaches?

Atlanta chiropractic doctor Timothy Dembowski will interview you to learn more about your headache and diagnosis the cause. Depending upon the diagnosis, chiropractic treatment may be appropriate, although there are other headache treatments in the next section. Chiropractic treatments include:

  • Spine manipulation: the chiropractor can properly align your skull with your spine, eliminating misaligned bones that pinch nerves causing headache pain.
  • Muscle relaxation: the chiropractor may find the suboccipital muscles joining your head to your spine are contracted for extended periods, causing a resulting headache. Problems with neck and shoulder muscles may need correction.

Non-Chiropractic Treatment For Headache

Dr. Dembowski may recommend other non-chiropractic cures for headache, including changes in your diet, treatment of allergies, issues with your sleeping patterns, problems with your posture, issues with blood vessels in the brain, and more.
